Potato patties with meat filling — soft potato dough with juicy minced meat, fried until golden brown. Step-by-step recipe with photos and cooking tips.

Potato patties with meat filling are a hearty and flavorful dish that the whole family will love. The soft potato dough goes perfectly with the tender, slightly spicy meat filling, and the golden brown crust adds an appetizing look and taste when fried. These zrazy are so delicious that you'll want to make them again and again!

Ingredients

For 4–6 servings:

  1. Potatoes — 1.5 kg
  2. Pork (lean meat) — 0.5 kg
  3. Onion — 1
  4. Butter — 50 g
  5. Flour — 0.5 cups
  6. Vegetable oil — approximately 100 ml
  7. Salt, ground black pepper — to taste

Preparation

Preparing the filling Finely
dice the onion. Mince the pork in a meat grinder. Season the minced meat with salt and pepper and mix thoroughly. Fry the onion with the minced meat until soft and lightly browned.

Preparing the potato dough Boil
the potatoes until tender and mash them (you can grate them or mince them in a meat grinder). Add butter, flour, salt, and pepper. Mix everything thoroughly so that the dough is smooth and lump-free.

Forming the zrazy Form palm-sized
pieces from the potato dough. Place the meat filling in the center of each piece and form zrazy, pinching the edges tightly.

Frying
Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan. Fry the zrazy on each side until they are golden brown, about 5-7 minutes on each side over medium heat.

Serving

Serve the zrazy hot, with sour cream or fresh vegetables. If desired, add your favorite spices or a little garlic to the minced meat for a richer flavor.
